"Mission"

~~~~~
As we count down the months to our 50th year reunion weekend, let us remember the importance of
why we come together.  We can all relate to the anticipation and the wonderful time we'll enjoy
exchanging pleasantries with friends and classmates we’ve not seen or spoken to…in years.
Not to mention the lasting memories we’ll all leave to cherish on that final day together, when we bid our fair wells, only to meet again in five years‘.
Take a moment and lets reflect on why we plan every five years to come together for our reunions.  Almost fifty years’ ago the traditions of education and higher learning have not changed, but high school graduations are down…how can that be.
Enrollment has gone down by thirty percent from 1974 to 2013, and high school graduation, is at an all
time low…that should not be!
We come together so our children can be proud and understand that with education anything is possible.  As they wait their turn to walk across that podium, hopefully, they will feel that same sense of accomplishment, we all felt that very important day.
Cheering and encouraging one another for a job well done…
bursting with pride and heads held high.
We stand for the future of tomorrow…our children and grandchildren.  Education has taken us all to places of great achievement, but mindful that we're responsible to reach back.  We have an obligation…the future of our children depend on us.
So, think about how YOU can reach back, whether it be through tutoring, mentoring or volunteering your services.  Any encouragement of esteem to our young men and women would certainly go a long way.
Our mission as 50 + alumni graduates is to enhance and improve lives through health & wellness, commitment…and rally the importance of education for the future
of our children.
They are the legacy leading us into tomorrow!!!
GO BULLDOGS!!
